The global journey of a mindful leader starts with his very own actions. And what a great feeling it is when a student starts to put into practice all the wonderful life lessons the family and the school teach him. Tudor Bunea, a Grade 3 student, decided to make a difference this season and start his own ShoeBox action.
He enquired where the people in need are located and pitched his project to his classmates. Soon enough, his friends shared his cause and got to work:
They had important meetings at Tudor’s home, they bought the presents and built the boxes.
When all the presents were packed, they visited the children in Ocnita village.
They all sang carols, had fun and embraced the spirit of Christmas – giving love and spending time with wonderful people.
So many great things happen when children have the initiative to make a difference and also act on their plan! We are happy to support their projects and share their story so every child’s voice is heard!
